The Heart Heart Heart... Heartlintines Day~~

HEYY GUYSS <3 Valentine's Day is coming up~ For those of you out there who still need ideas on what to give your love ones for valentines and how to celebrate.. DON'T WORRY!! I'n here to help you out!! <3
For this year, my boyfriend and I just wanna have a simple celebration for valentine's so we will skip out on dressing up and going to fancy restaurant for dinner. But of course, I cannot skip the presents because I love making little things for my boyfriend~

Here are the couple of ideas I have, it is suitable for both guys or girls ^_^

Idea 1 - Make a Love Coupons Book
This is sometime you can personalise to your love one!! I made 9 coupons in the book and with terms and conditions on the back xD! Also I used my first and last cover with cardboard paper so it will be more durable for my valentine :3 ~
But you guys can personalise it any way you want!! :)
For step by step instructions and print template from The Country Chic Cottage.

Idea 2 - Write a Card
This is simple and easy!! Cards, you can get them anywhere, or if you prefer you can DIY (Do It Yourself)!!
There's a saying "It is the heart that matters!" I think it is true, so true!! It's not what you get for you love one that matters, it's the thoughts of doing so that will melt their hearts~ <3
SO, don't be afraid to get write a card and put all your feelings and things you want to say to you valentine in there!!

Idea 3 - DIY Sharpie Mug
This is perfect if you want to get a mug for your boyfriend/partner and you want to make it a personalised mug. There are so many out there and I do want to do this idea too but I couldn't find any oil-based Sharpie markers. :(

Here's a link to the instructions if you guys are interested and you can write anything you want on the mug and personalise to your boyfriend/partners' need hahaha.. xD
However, I recommend you to bake the mugs at 425 degree for 30 mins as most website have suggested that the 350 degrees method is not enough.

Idea 5 - Strawberry filled cheesecake~ <3
Strawberries and chocolate/cream with champagne has always been the tradition of Valentines!
But evolving from that we get strawberry filled cheesecake! It's a little more effort to show your love one you love and care for them~~ Besides, who can denying such yummy dessert!!!!! xD
The recipe is here! Check it out and you can definitely tailor it to your taste!! :)
These little guys here also quite perfect for picnic~ (that's what I'm planning to bring hahahaa)

Idea 4 - Bake a surprise!
I'm actually planning to make this, but I want it to be more fresh so I'll make it a day before :) I still want to help you guys out on the Valentine's ideas so I don't want to post this after Valentines is past hehe.
This is not too difficult, I bought my cake mix from Betty Crocker. They have really soft and moist recipes!!
Here's the recipe~ You can use other recipes if you can't find Betty Crocker but I'm just simply showing you my ideas!! ^_^

For your date ideas, you can obviously go for a fancy dinner or lunch. But this year, we want to go for picnics!!! :D If you live in Sydney and you have no idea where are the picnic spots, then check this site out!! I found mine here ~~ hehe
Also for more date ad present ideas, I highly recommend you to check out Pinterest!! I love using it!! I got so many cute and easy ideas from there hehe~~

BUT, what's more important is to be happy everyday!! I think the most important thing is don't just celebrate for special days like Valentine's or Anniversary. But "celebrate" and live everyday like there is no tomorrow, cherish and respect your love. No one is perfect, not you nor partner!!  We are all the PERFECT IMPERFECTION!! Remember, we all make mistakes but what's important is how you handle it. Will you make the same mistake again or will you try to learn from your mistakes?

Good luck and learn to love YOURSELF too~
Have a HAPPY VALENTINES my lovely readers~~ <3

P.s. these are also suitable for any other occasions and anyone, you can personalise to however way you want it :) ~

Cheers,
Eunice

Foodie Review~ Lid & Jar [Chatswood]

HEllloooo~~ How are you guys today?? Since my last post is about the Elf's Matte lip colour so I will write about fooood in this post!!!
Also it was such a nice weather yesterday so I went to try a "new" cafe in Chatswood called Lid & Jar, it's located in the concourse near the library. SO, I guess if you are studying at the library you can pop by for a coffee xD!!!

They have both indoor and outdoor tables so it perfect to sit outdoor on a sunny day!! :)
I guess their service is quite good, as we sat down they have served us the menu and water immediately ~ :) They a drink, breakfast, lunch and sweet menu!! Also they serve breakfast everyday up til 12pm and lunch will be available 12-3pm. I think they have some pastries and sweets stuff at the counter as well. So there's quite a bit to choose from!!

The menu is plain and simple and sort of matching the store's design.
If you wanna check out their menu, you can check here~
I'm those who can't last a day without my coffee~ Of course the first thing we ordered if coffee!!!!! xD They have quite a range to pick from, like competition style cup and barista competition set? Can't remember ... hahaha

Coffee
Normal latte ($3.80)
She ordered a latte cause she is not a coffee drinker xP
But I didn't try this cause it's too weak for me! xS
Cold Drip ($7)
It is like ice coffee except the coffee beans are brewed through cold-pressed, so it never come in contact with heated water and not diluted by water. It is generally sweeter due to it's lower acidity. BUT I personally don't really like it as I prefer coffee with milk xP

It is served separately and you would pour the coffee in the ice cup. I think it is better at Toby's Estate. The flavour is strong but not as strong as espresso, and it's more on the sour side. x_x
Rose Mocha ($4.80)~~ <3
It's AMAZING and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!! It's hard to describe it but I guess you can call it Rose essence. It is definitely stronger than the normal Mocha!! I love it how the heart is pink~ I think they put colouring in the milk? I find it very cute as welll~~
Normal Mocha ($4).
It tasted a bit weak and the froth is not very thick. Also the bubbles are a bit too big so the coffee is not as "smooth".

~J'adority - Coffee~

Cold Drip ($7): 1/5 (Sorry! I am no fan of black coffees xD. But my friend did say that they've had better ones.. and also I think the one at Brewtown in Newtown is better!!)
Mocha ($4): 3/5 (It's a little bit weak, and the froth on top is too thin. The froth also has big bubbles.. but the latte art are pretty nice!)
Rose Mocha($4.80): 5/5 (LOVE IT!!!!! <3 <3 It is still weak though BUT I love the rose flavour or scent haha~~ It's nice and something new~ However the price is a little
OVERALL Coffee J'adority: 3.5/5 (The coffee in average are quite weak and the froth isn't that good, or maybe I've had such high hope for the cafe since the barista won a coffee competition lol)

Lunch meals

Lid & Jar Beef Burger with Garden Salad ($20)
The beef is medium rare but it's alright.. Also the price is a little pricey xO I've had better ones at a lower price :)
Fresh Corn Fritters ($17)
I quite like the rocket and avocado, bacon and rocket salad on top, it's like so perfect together haha!! However I have never tried other fritters before so I couldn't  really compare it but I think they deep fried the fritters a bit too much ( I'm not sure if it's meant to be like this though)!

Green Apple and Witlof Salad ($15)
The salad is nice and fresh since it has apples but the proportion of green apples vs greens are too much! I prefer it to have a balance between both apple and greens :) The egg is nice though, since I love soft centre half cook egg yolk!! :)

~J'adority - Lunch meals~

Lid & Jar Beef Burger with chips/garden salad ($20): It's alright and quite good the fact that it's medium rare (it's not over cooked!). However, the price is quite expensive.
Fresh Corn Fritters ($17): 4/5 (I think it's a little too deep fried but the combination of avocado, rocket salad, bacon with fritters is very nice~~ The corns are very sweet as well~~)
Green Apple and Witlof Salad ($15): The salad is quite nice and refreshing cause it has apples, so it is on the sweet side. However I would prefer it better with more salads than green apple.
OVERALL Lunch J'adority: The food are nice but the prices are quite expensive. However I do enjoy my corn fritters as the combination of rocket salad, bacon, avocado with fritters is really nice, though I much prefer it to be less deep fried!

My Overall J'adority: I do enjoy the environment and I personally love the rose mocha. Even the coffee is still quite weak but I think the price is worth it if I plan to sit and relax at the cafe for a bit. Also it is something different to a normal mocha, so for those who wanna try a new flavour or twist to coffees, GO FOR IT!!!!!! :)

Thank you for reading my posts and supports!!! Feel free to comment guys :) Also here is other comments below if you wanna read more, so you don't just get my personal opinions!!! Have a wonderful week~~ ^_^

Makeup Review ~ Elf Matte Lip Colour (Coral)

Heyy guys~~~ I've been so busy lately so I missed out on last week's post! But I'll try to bring more posts to you guys! :)

Recently, I've discovered an American brand, Elf (Eye Lips Face). It is a drugstore brand so the prices of course are CHEAAAP! However I was surprised by how many people raved about this brand so I decided to give it a go! :)
For those of you in Australia, you can find this brand in Kmart or the official Australian Elf website (their prices are adjusted so they are more expensive than America). However this brand is definitely affordable!
I'm those who doesn't like buying a haul of certain brand, I like trying out one product at a time.. I feel like this way I can try it "properly" xD Elf has a studio, mineral and essential line. Essential is the cheapest line, Mineral and Studio are sort of the more "expensive" side compared to essential line (but it's still relatively cheap)

Anyways, I decided to give it a try so I picked the Matte Lip Colour in the Colour Coral when I walked past the Elf section in Kmart~
For this price, it's a kinda "high-end" packaging with a box and stuff. For most of the drugstore products I see, like Maybelline Revlon etc.. They don't have a box.
I don't have any coral colour lipstick so I picked this up~ :)
It looks like a lip liner but thicker and you can spin the pinkest bottom part to get more product. Definitely very convenient to pop in your make up bag!! Also I like how it's kinda like a lip liner shape so I can be quite precise with the edges. :D
Here's a swatch for you guys~ It's super pigmented and super creamy!!! <3<3
When I opened the packaging after I purchased it, I had to try it out!!! At first, I tried it by it's own, I didn't like it. It's sinks through my draw lip cracks and it looks horrible. Plus I am never a fan of matte lip colour but I bought it because this is the colour I've been looking for~~

Here's the first picture with my bare lips. My lips are always dry so I am wearing a little bit of Maybelline's baby lines (Antioxidant berry)
This is with Elf's Matte Lip Colour (in Coral). It's a little lighter than my natural lip colour so I love it <3<3

J'adority

*** 1 = Nup/not a fan ><, 5 = Yes/J'adore <3 ***

Creaminess: 5/5 (Super creamy - glides on without hassle)
Pigmentation: 5/5 (The colour is very thick and solid)
Colour payoff: 5/5 (Love the colour - prefect for summertime)
Moistness: 4/5 (It's moist but it's not like the moistness of a lip balm xD)
J'adority: 5/5 (DEFINITELY DEFINITELY REPURCHASING!!!! I will most likely try other colours too. Very impressed with the product!!!)

My overall comment: It's cheap, it's pigmented, it's creamy and it's has quite a few colours to pick from. I love it so so so so so much!! HAHAHA.. I am very impressed with this line of lip colour. I will buy the other colours!! But as I said before, because I am no fan to matte lips, so I prefer to use the baby lip lip balm before I apply it. That's why in my picture, it has a shine to it xD I think the colour is very nice and natural. I can't really carry sharp colours or redish colours. So this Coral colour is good for summertime, AMAZINNG COLOUR!!!!! I love it love it love it so much~~ Also I recommend you guys to moisten up your lips before you apply or it will sink in you lip cracks. In fact, for most lips products, I do recommend you to apply lip balm or lip patch (unless you are using lip butters) to moisten up your lips. You can also exfoliate your lips a bit before you apply lip balms!! :)

Sorry about my horrible camera but I will get a proper camera soon.. so the quality will be better in the future xD! Also I have yellow lightings in these photos so the actual colour may vary a bit from the actual colour. Once again thank you for reading my posts, I hope my reviews help!! :) Hope you guys have a wonderful weeek~

Love
Ewy ~
